When you thing about the government and healthcare there are
several things that personally make me feel that they are in bed with each
other. The government runs the country, but who runs healthcare?
Put this in your mind…
I remember when I was a kid my mom was a single parent and she had health
insurance for us that when she took us to the doctor, she only paid a $10
copay. Now days when you go depending on who you’re seeing it can be anywhere
from $25 to $75 to see a doctor then there are specialist fees and then there
are ER cost that can start at $150 which from working in the emergency room is rare.
Then after that is said and done the doctor has a fee and don’t forget about a
coinsurance and deductible. Some of these plans aren’t even worth it cause in reality
your better off being a self-pay patient. Medications are another thing, and if you’re a
diabetic insulin can cost for a one-year supply can start at $1400 and many Americans

. Sadly, why does it even have to be
that way in a country where everyone comes to be blessed with the liberties of
so much freedom, why can’t healthcare be free as well. I believe that the
government should come up with a plan to make healthcare universal like it is
oversees.
Ask yourself this, when have you seen an overweight person
in Europe? You barely see it. As a person who works in healthcare, people over don’t
have to worry about that because they got to the doctor, get medications, see
specialist and get medical cost all for FREE. They are healthy and if they had
any kind of medical issue then they are covered and don’t have to kill themselves
worrying about how its going to get paid for.
So why can’t the richest country in the world afford to aide
their people better by caring for their health as much as they do as starting a
war, worrying about immigration, or even building a damn wall. Its cause in my
opinion we don’t matter and we the people or the dingy ones that voted for our
representative got played or didn’t know any better and are ignorant to the
facts- kickback are real and if no one stands up and says anything then it’s
only going to continue to get worse. Do your research and educate yourself
especially when it comes to the things that we really need.

I completely agree with you about our nation's healthcare matter. I strongly believe that healthcare should be provided to all citizens. It breaks my heart that some people can’t get the treatment they need because it is too expensive. Our government wastes millions of dollars on unnecessary things such as ridiculous advertisements (don’t tan, chew tobacco, etc.), ridiculous investigations, ridiculous studies, and the list goes on. So why shouldn’t some of this money go towards our citizens instead? In lieu of wasting money on unnecessary matters, we could spend some money to come up with a plan to enable our citizens to free healthcare for a good cause. Families should not have to struggle when they find out their child has cancer, or their mom falls and breaks a hip. For as much as the government is supposed to be problem solvers, it is very unclear to me why our country has not figured the healthcare system out when so many other countries have.
Our congress needs to get their priorities straight and put our people first. After all, if you don’t have your health, do you really have anything at all? Is someone living in pain, worry, or stress 24/7 really living life to the fullest? Everyone should have equal rights to a pleasant healthy life, not just the people that can afford it.
